Welcome Message

Welcome to the webpage of St. John's United Methodist Church. We are a people with open hearts, open minds, and open doors. We hope you will find this webpage helpful in getting to know a little bit about our church and our programs. Should you have any questions while you are browsing our webpage, please do not hesitate to call, or click on 'E-mail' to e-mail us with a question. Our worship service begins at 11:00 a.m. and our Sunday School for all ages (including an Adult Sunday School Class) begins at 9:30 a.m. Please come as you are: bring your burdens, your joys, your concerns, and join our community as we bring them before God and share them with one another.

Purpose Statement

In answer to Christ's call, we recognize that we are Christ's representatives and vehicles for God's work through the Holy Spirit in the world. We take seriously our call to faithful discipleship (not simply church membership) as we commit ourselves to growing internally and spiritually, as well as externally and numerically. This results in active service to God, the community, and the Church.

We recognize that we are far from perfect, but individually and collectively, we seek to become more perfect with God's help, so that we may be good examples to our neighbors. This is demonstrated more specifically as we continue and increase our praying, loving, learning, witnessing, reaching out, forgiving, sharing, caring, giving, and becoming more and more a community of faith, "for God's children today and tomorrow."
